Well, if he is really your close friend...you should treat him as normal...nothing wrong fro being a gay...i think we should accept him and try to encourage him as much as possible becasue he may feel not comfortable to become a gay too...
so open your view and mine and make thing simple.

don't do anythings and tell him what ever he is, he is special, as long he is good and kind person that's all it count. real friend is hard to find.
